QA Evidence Pack Privacy Policy

QA Evidence Pack helps a user create a structured manual web-test record on their device.

Information handled

When directed by the user, the extension handles the active page title and URL, visible screenshot pixels, viewport description, user-entered test steps, expected and actual results, status, annotations, and timestamps. Visible screenshots may contain website content or personal information. The extension does not intentionally handle passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, payment information, health information, or background browsing history.

Use, storage, and sharing

This information is used only for the extension's test-evidence features. Current sessions and up to 20 text-only history summaries are stored in Chrome extension storage on the user's device. Screenshot pixels are not retained in history summaries. The extension has no server endpoint and does not transmit, sell, or use this information for advertising. The developer and third parties do not receive it.

Exports are created only after the user requests a local download. The user controls any later sharing.

Retention, deletion, and redaction

The current session remains until the user resets it, clears extension storage, or uninstalls the extension. Reset deletes the current session but preserves archived text summaries. Uninstalling removes extension-local data. Saving an irreversible redaction replaces the selected pixels in the stored screenshot. Users should review every export before sharing it.

Chrome permissions

Limited Use

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve QA Evidence Pack's single user-facing purpose.

Changes and contact

Material changes to these practices will be disclosed and reviewed before an updated extension is released. Questions may be sent to support@datawerkes.ai.
